Pulse generators are designed to switch on or off at specified time intervals. The duration of the time interval or the switching pulse will depend on the model. As a variety of pulse generators, the alternating headlamp flasher will electronically alternately switch the headlamps or auxiliary headlamps. Such pulse generators or alternating flashers will be found in police cars, ambulances or fire engines. During operations, the headlamps will flash alternately or simultaneously, and will thus increase the efficiency of the these special signalling devices.
